About Deanne Sluder Photography
Photography came into my life three years ago. It was a hidden talent I didn’t know I possessed. Deanne Sluder Photography has only been in business for less than a year and has already accomplished a lot.
A member of Historic Charlotte and Mecklenburg Historical Association, as well as memberships in the Charlotte Art League and South Piedmont Artist Guild in Monroe, North Carolina.
Over the three years that I have been photographing sites in North Carolina, I have had my photos published in Our State magazine, won 2nd place in 2003 for a photograph entered in Charlotte Camera’s Spring Photo Contest.
November of 2004, received a Merit award in Charlotte Art League’s Fall Into Art juried show for a photo entitled “Horse and Carriage”,. shot at Old Salem in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
April of 2005, received the Judges Choice award at the Doug Helms Memorial Art Show, held during the Blooming Arts Festival in Monroe, North Carolina. This photo was entitled “Chair In Shadow”, taken at Old Salem, also.
May of 2005, I was given a Merit award during the Charlotte Art League’s Spring Into Art show, entitled “Frontier Wife”, taken at the James K. Polk Memorial in Pineville, North Carolina.
July of 2005, an Honorable Mention at the Summer Art Explosion, put on by the Stanly Arts Guild for my photograph entitled,“Dressing Table”, taken at Historic Rosedale in Charlotte, North Carolina.
July of 2005, First Place in the South Piedmont Artist Guilds Summer juried show for a photograph entitled “Barrel” taken at Historic Rosedale. An Honorable Mention for a photo entitled “Mabry Mill” taken at a grist mill in Virgina
